Built in 1930 and designed by the storied firm of Parkinson & Parkinson, the Title Guarantee Building represents the architecture, art and artisanship that defined the golden age of Los Angeles. From intricate masonry and lavish marble, to beautiful woodwork and hand-laid ceiling tiles, to the lobby’s heralded Hugo Ballin ceiling mural – it is one of our city's most iconic Art Deco buildings and a true piece of Angeleno history.

Ballin designed a series of six panels that cover the lobby ceiling and trace Los Angeles’ history from prehistoric times to its modern present (in 1930).
Dating to the 1800's as a central gathering place, the park was formally designed in 1910 by John Parkinson.
